APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR GROUP COURSES

Please email Ana Blazquez, ana@abbeycollege.co.uk,  with the requests for your group so a package can be tailor-made for your group.

THE REGISTRATION / APPLICATION FEE EXPLAINED

A registration fee of £100 is payable for all academic courses at the time of booking. For English All Year Courses or Vacation Courses the registration fee is £50. It should be sent with the completed application form in order for us to process the student’s application.  This is used to cover the cost of processing your application, i.e. faxing, telephoning, postage, secretarial costs, interviews where necessary, liaising with embassies etc. The registration fee is non-refundable.

EXPENSE ACCOUNT AND DEPOSITS

For Academic courses:

£1000 is required for the expense account. This amount is divided into two parts. £700 is for supplementary items such as books, extra tuition, extra excursions, etc. The other £300 is held as a security deposit. This amount is held by Abbey College and returned six weeks after the end of the course, or refunded if a student leaves before the end of their course having given the required one full term’s notice.

In addition to the registration fee a minimum deposit of £3000 is also required before a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) will be issued. In some instances a higher deposit may be requested.

English All Year and Vacation courses:

Students on these courses need not pay the full expense account, unless they want to take part in a lot of extra activities or require additional lessons. They are however required to pay a smaller, fully refundable deposit of £50 in cash on arrival, to cover potential loss of keys or any damages.

CONFIRMATION OF ENROLMENT

All accepted students for academic courses will receive an offer letter which must be signed and returned. We will also send a medical form and parental questionnaire which needs to be completed and returned back to us promptly. All fees are payable 30 days prior to the start of the course except in the case of agreed late bookings. Any other arrangement needs to be agreed by Abbey College beforehand in writing.

All accepted students for English All Year or Vacation courses will receive a confirmation of enrollment document. All fees are payable 30 days prior to the start of the course except in the case of agreed late bookings. Any other arrangement needs to be agreed by Abbey College beforehand in writing.

All courses will be confirmed once the required deposits have been received.

STUDENTS WHO REQUIRE A TIER 4 STUDENT VISA

Once the deposit has been received we will create a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) and email a draft of the  CAS Statement. This will include all of the important information required when applying for a visa (name of the course, course level, enrolment dates, fees paid to date etc.). Upon confirmation from the student or educational agent, that the CAS is correct, we will issue the official CAS statement.
