Start Dates: Any Sunday during term time. Groups can start any time except December.
Course Length: Up to 30 weeks
Hours per Week: Approx. 24 hours, including self-study.
Maximum Number in Class: 16, average 7
Course Content: General English Plus specialist subjects such as Business, Science and Computer science, geared towards a particular qualification or with a particular focus if required.
Appropriate for: Any student wanting to develop their English.

On an Academic English course students may be mixed in classes with students studying academic courses. Homework is set during weekdays for evening study.
Weekly teachers meetings enable us to monitor the progress of every student and to decide whether a change of level is necessary.
All students are encouraged to make full use of college facilities, including for sports and activities, and to mix with our other students.
The college can provide preparation for students wishing to take exams, such as IELTS or Cambridge, and can assist students with booking their tests. All students receive an Abbey College certificate and report at the end of the course.
